- Self-service enablement for developers
- Solid backend engineering background
- Go programming language preferred
- Turning infrastructure best practices into adoptable standards
- Ability to define technical strategy
- Drive cross-team initiatives end-to-end
- Accountability for outcomes
- Ability to contribute to architectural decisions
- Clear communication of trade-offs to engineers and leadership

- Define cluster topology and isolation model
- Set availability standards for mission-critical services
- Design multi-account network fabric
- Define VPC design and private endpoints
- Establish cross-account connectivity
- Plan for cross-region and multi-cloud networking
- Ensure reliable and secure service communication
- Develop roadmap for automated cluster management
- Implement self-healing workflows for addons
- Automate cluster and addon rollouts
- Define resource policies for workloads
- Set standards for cluster profiles
- Establish workload isolation boundaries
- Build guardrails to prevent noisy neighbor issues
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Ensure end-to-end ownership of systems
- Define long-term Kubernetes platform strategy
- Drive cross-team initiatives from kickoff to delivery
- Align infrastructure decisions with engineering goals
- Align infrastructure decisions with compliance goals
- Align infrastructure decisions with cost goals
