In this role, you will lead a team in production, focusing on employee development, safety, and operational excellence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve motivating team members, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement through the Lean Operating Model.

Anforderungen

• •Completed vocational training as an industrial master in plastics/metals or comparable qualification
• •Several years of professional experience
• •Above-average professional knowledge
• •First leadership experience desirable
• •Secure handling of ERP and PC systems
• •English skills advantageous

Aufgaben

• •Lead and manage up to 20 production employees in coordination with the group leader
• •Enhance employee motivation through regular communication and tracking of actions
• •Develop team members by exemplifying and teaching GKN culture principles
• •Organize personnel deployment and training while ensuring compliance with processes, quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
• •Coordinate workflow and manage work resources
• •Plan production orders in detail and monitor production metrics to achieve quality and quantity targets
• •Ensure adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards in the assigned area
• •Manage budget related to costs, productivity, and hours
• •Guarantee product quality and continuously improve processes
• •Promote the consistent application of the Lean Operating Model (LOM)
• •Foster a culture aligned with GKN Aerospace's 'Great Place To Work' values by modeling behaviors and recognizing contributions
• •Hold team members accountable for embodying GKN culture principles
• •Provide honest performance appraisals while supporting and coaching individuals

• •Lead teams to understand and achieve PSQDCC targets for customer and stakeholder commitments
• •Drive the disciplined deployment of the Lean Operating Model (LOM)
• •Engage in problem-solving using a 'Go to Gemba' approach to resolve issues
• •Contribute to the design and execution of the Value Stream future state
• •Collaborate with other team leaders to optimize performance outcomes
• •Hold functional support staff accountable for adhering to global standards
• •Ensure disciplined execution of Daily Management and Standardized work
• •Drive team engagement by defining and implementing engagement actions
• •Comply with legal and regulatory requirements and ensure staff awareness of policies
• •Manage a zone budget as agreed with the group leader
• •Take ownership of difficult decisions related to the zone
