- Experience working on classified projects (an advantage)
- Experience in managing technical stakeholders (an advantage)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Team-oriented work style
- Fluent in German and English
- French language skills (a plus)
Aufgaben
- Specify transmission paths and protocols for communication between space and ground segments
- Develop innovative solutions for direct links between satellites and ground stations
- Create solutions for indirect communication via relay satellites
- Design ground network connections for efficient data transfer
- Contribute to the transformation plan for high-performance Ground-Space Mission Solutions
- Perform operational tasks while leveraging experience for future improvements
- Define and design satellite ground segments using modern methods like Scrum and Model Based Systems Engineering
- Analyze requirements and define architecture for communication components and ground stations
- Evaluate and optimize design decisions through design trade-offs and interface management
- Identify internal and external interfaces and create interface documentation (ICD)
- Specify hardware and software elements along with redundancy concepts
- Calculate link budgets
- Estimate costs for ground segment development and operations
- Contribute to proposals, studies, and research and development activities
- Manage technical aspects and oversee subcontractors and partners
- Collaborate across disciplines with Space Segment Engineering, Performance Engineering, and Operations Engineering
