- Solid microbiological basics: aseptic technique, contamination sources, growth and cultivation principles
- Hands-on equipment experience: pumps, tubing, fittings, probes, autoclaves; comfortable with physical work
- Precise documentation habits
- Bioreactor or process control software exposure; basic mechanical skills (advantageous)
- Reliability, safety-consciousness, adherence to procedure, problem flagging
- Good English skills
Aufgaben
- Operate and maintain bench-scale glass fermenters
- Assemble, sterilize, inoculate, monitor, harvest, and shut down fermenters
- Run fermentations to SOPs and batch records
- Prepare media, feeds, and buffers
- Weigh, mix, adjust pH, and sterile filter media and feeds
- Calibrate and maintain pH and DO probes
- Replace seals, tubing, and consumables
- Take aseptic samples on schedule
- Run routine in-process checks
- Record process data, deviations, and observations in real time
- Manage consumables and raw material stock
- Keep the lab clean, ordered, and audit-ready
- Clean and sterilize vessels, probes, lines, and parts
- Perform autoclaving and manual cleaning
- Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols and SOPs
- Support the scale-up of precision fermentation technology
- Work closely with Process Development and Ingredient Research
