As a Dynamic Networking Engineer, you will focus on designing advanced communication systems for airborne and space applications. Your role involves analyzing requirements, validating designs, and showcasing innovative solutions to clients.

Anforderungen

• •Willingness to do business travels occasionally
• •Strong academic background in Information and Communication Technology, Communications Engineering, Embedded Systems, Aerospace Engineering or similar
• •Profound knowledge of wireless communication system technologies, architectures, and standards for military and aerospace applications
• •Knowledge in IP-based and ICN-based communication approaches
• •Knowledge in 3GPP-based communication systems and architectures (5G/6G incl. Non-terrestrial networks) would be beneficial
• •Basic knowledge on characteristics of space-based or airborne host platforms
• •Basic knowledge in modern project governance and development frameworks, e.g. SCRUM, SAFe is beneficial
• •Fluency in English and German
• •Related project experience (3-5 years min) in aerospace, defense, or telecommunication industries
• •Experience with communication protocols including quality of service aspects, routing, control and management
• •Hands-on experience implementing network protocol stacks on Unix systems
• •Understanding and implementation of L3/L2 Network protocols for fast packet forwarding
• •Experience with topology management and control algorithms for LEO satellite constellations and airborne mobile ad-hoc networks
• •Comfortable implementing in an infrastructure of distributed VMs
• •Object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C++, Python)
• •Cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines
• •Advanced user skills for Unix systems
• •Networking simulation tools (NS-3, OMNET++, etc.) are a plus
• •MBSE Tools (DOORS and CAMEO) are a plus

Aufgaben

• •Analyze networking requirements for airborne and space-based communication systems
• •Identify potential networking technologies and conduct trade-off studies
• •Create networking concepts and contribute to development roadmaps
• •Validate system concepts and designs through real-time simulations, emulations, and prototypes
• •Provide domain expertise to support systems engineering activities and related documentation
• •Contribute to technology and product demonstrations for customers and stakeholders
• •Assist in technical supplier management activities, including specification contributions
