Director – Supplier Resiliency(m/w/x)
Leading global supplier resiliency and risk management for automotive and complex manufacturing. 10+ years in supplier management or supply chain risk in automotive Tier-1 environments required. Global leadership across automotive, lifestyle, and digital transformation solutions.
Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supplier management, supplier quality, supply chain risk, or operations within Automotive Tier-1 or complex manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience leading global, multi-regional teams in a matrix organization
- Proven expertise in end-to-end supply chain risk management
- Strong understanding of global manufacturing operations, capacity management, and business continuity planning
- Strong understanding of ESG data systems
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data, analytics, and digital tools
- Strong change leadership capabilities
- Proven success working in international and cross-cultural environments
- Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, and executive communication skills
- Experience deploying or scaling digital supply chain risk management platforms
- Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, predictive risk indicators, and data automation
- Experience managing enterprise-level crises or major supply disruptions
- Knowledge of Automotive OEM expectations, IATF 16949, and regulatory requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of time
- Willingness to work in a HARMAN office within the USA, MX, GER, HUN
Aufgaben
- Lead the global Supplier Resiliency and Supply Chain Risk Management function
- Own the global resiliency strategy and risk management implementation roadmap
- Establish governance models for integrating supplier resiliency into sourcing decisions
- Execute the Risk Ownership role in the Risk Management Framework
- Implement a structured end-to-end supplier risk framework
- Identify single-source, single-site, and bottleneck risks proactively
- Maintain reliable data on the supplier manufacturing footprint
- Define and execute risk mitigation and recovery strategies
- Engage suppliers through resiliency assessments and business continuity planning
- Build Supplier Relationship Capability for executing risk contingency plans
- Drive corrective actions for high-risk or underperforming suppliers
- Support the development of strategic suppliers for resiliency and sustainability
- Provide executive oversight for sustainability and ESG activities
- Embed sustainability and ESG requirements into risk management frameworks
- Align supplier resiliency strategies with ESG objectives and regulatory obligations
- Review and escalate material ESG and climate-related supplier risks
- Sponsor cross-functional alignment for consistent execution and reporting
- Lead the development of digital tools for supplier risk monitoring
- Establish KPIs and metrics for supplier resiliency and risk exposure
- Embed data-driven risk insights into decision-making processes
- Act as a senior escalation point for supplier-related crises
- Lead cross-functional response teams to stabilize supply
- Drive post-incident reviews for systemic improvements
- Partner with teams to ensure resilient launches and stable production
- Provide risk input into OEM engagement and launch readiness reviews
- Align objectives with broader sustainability and ESG commitments
- Build and develop a high-performing global team in supply chain risk
- Foster a culture of accountability and proactive risk ownership
- Empower teams to think strategically and improve resiliency capabilities
