In this role, you will focus on developing and analyzing key components for PEM electrolysis, conducting tests, and collaborating with various teams to drive innovation in climate protection technologies.

Anforderungen

• •Master’s degree or PhD in materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, chemical engineering, or related field
• •Several years of experience in characterization of polymers and composite materials, ideally in fuel cells or water electrolysis
• •Solid knowledge of ion-conducting polymers, ideally perfluorinated membranes
• •Confident handling of mechanical analyses, including material behavior modeling or FEM-based approaches
• •Independent, structured working style and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration in PEM electrolysis
• •Good understanding of electrochemical systems, particularly PEM water electrolysis
• •Very good written and spoken English skills; German language skills are nice to have

Aufgaben

• •Develop and analyze membranes and CCMs for PEM electrolysis cells
• •Execute and enhance characterization methods
• •Plan and conduct experimental test series
• •Perform mechanical simulations and evaluate data
• •Derive actionable recommendations from test results
• •Assess new membrane materials and collaborate with suppliers
• •Support material qualification for existing and new products
• •Document results and prepare technical reports
• •Present findings within an interdisciplinary team
• •Collaborate closely with stack development, quality, and production teams
