Anforderungen

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field
  • 5-10 years of experience in pricing, commercial, or PLM role
  • Manager experience or experience leading teams/projects
  • 100% fluent in English; other languages a plus
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to drive consensus
  • Ability to recognize impact of decisions on future opportunities
  • Knowledge of COC Customers, Markets, and Products
  • Ability to drive business process improvement
  • Pricing or finance experience
  • SAP systems experience
  • Knowledge of Vendavo system
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Commercial experience
  • Knowledge of Corning products and markets

Aufgaben

  • Oversee the EMEA Deal Desk team
  • Deliver prompt responses to Distribution opportunities and Strategic Accounts
  • Maximize overall profitability and revenue
  • Facilitate error-free customer responses within agreed turn-around times
  • Incorporate essential terms and conditions in responses
  • Resolve pricing issues according to established rules
  • Broker agreements between stakeholders within and outside the team
  • Support the Tender Review process
  • Assist with financial analysis and reporting
  • Establish and enforce price escalation and approvals
  • Drive consistency and efficiency to create lean processes
  • Broker cross-regional pricing deals as needed
  • Review customer requests to determine requirements
  • Prepare timely quotation and bid proposals
  • Lead regional pricing initiatives with Deal Desk systems
  • Focus on Deal Desk processes like Vendavo quoting and contract processes
  • Create and improve key pricing interaction rules across commercial teams
  • Coordinate pricing rules with GPO, PLM, and others
  • Maintain price escalation thresholds and secure external agreements
  • Balance revenue and profit requirements
  • Evaluate and manage Most Favored Nation clauses
  • Document regional pricing strategies and currencies
  • Coordinate with other regions for global accounts
  • Lead the development of large tender and competitive bid responses
