Anforderungen
- Master or PhD degree in relevant field
- Experience in design, implementation, characterization of liquid crystal devices
- Direct experience with LCOS technology for projection or imaging applications
- Knowledge of optical systems, projector light engines, imaging optics, or diffractive devices
- Experience in leading and developing teams
- Proficiency in electro-magnetic computation methods (FDTD, RCWA)
- Expertise in various liquid crystal materials for fast-switching and phase modulation
- Strong software skills, including Python or C++
- Experience with FEM or FDTD based simulation software
- Willingness and availability for business travel (approx. 20%)
Aufgaben
- Drive breakthroughs in electro-optical performance of LCOS devices
- Apply novel LC modes, alignment techniques, cell architectures, and materials
- Enhance switching speed, contrast ratio, diffraction efficiency, and phase stability
- Model, design, and oversee fabrication of LCOS devices
- Optimize LCOS devices for projector light engines and optical systems
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and researchers
- Set clear goals and provide regular feedback to the team
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture
- Spearhead the development of next-generation LCOS display technologies
- Architect and model new LCOS display systems
- Design illumination and projection optics for high efficiency and image quality
- Collaborate with internal and external optical, electrical, and process engineers
- Work with physicists, chemists, and fabrication partners worldwide
- Manage and drive cooperation projects with academic partners
- Publish key innovations
- Author patent applications
