- Valid FAA A&P certificate
- Seven or more years experience as an aircraft mechanic on Army C-12 / King Air (200/350/1900) and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation
- US Citizenship for Secret Clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of seven years experience as an aircraft mechanic on Army C-12 / King Air (200/350/1900) and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation
- Completion of formal maintenance training on assigned aircraft (C-12 King Air and/or UC-35 Citation)
- Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance on assigned aircraft C-12/UC-35 during the past 12 months
- Prefer six months of flight line and overhaul & inspection experience
- Ability to move about freely in the aircraft interior and unpressurized area
- Mechanic tools required; must provide own tools and toolbox
- Valid US Passport for deployment to Germany
- Eligibility to meet TESA/DOCPER Germany specific requirements for SOFA status
- A&P Mechanic Pre-employment Medical
- Pass physical examination for engine runs and ground taxi operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Govt Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands
- Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity
- May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- May be required to see aircraft in flight and read dials/gauges
- Ability to type using a standard keyboard
- Ability to see imperfections and micrometer readings
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools
- Minimum 20/100 near and far vision, correctable to 20/20
- May be required to respond to operational circumstances, including extreme weather
- Ability to travel to and between remote locations in austere environments
- Knowledge of aircraft sub-systems and maintenance parameters
- Proven adaptability to change and ability to respond to challenges
Aufgaben
- Service, repair, and overhaul assigned aircraft and subsystems
- Use technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems
- Repair or replace faulty components
- Operationally check repaired or modified systems
- Perform quality maintenance on aircraft per regulations and technical orders
- Repair and replace aircraft structures like wings and fuselage
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machines for repairs
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals and service bulletins
- Examine engines for oil leaks and diagnose malfunctions
- Inspect turbine blades for cracks or breaks
- Test engine operation using diagnostic test equipment
- Replace or repair worn or damaged components
- Disassemble and inspect parts for wear or defects
- Remove and install engines from aircraft
- Repair or replace defective engine parts
- Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft
- Service engines and airframe components at line station
- Specialize in repair and modification of spare parts
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
- Become qualified to perform engine runs for assigned aircraft
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees
