Anforderungen
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or similar
- Extensive hands-on experience building, improving, and operating data platforms
- Expert Level SQL, dbt & Python
- Skilled using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation)
- Expertise in AWS Cloud data services and security features
- Experience with data modelling in modern data stack
- Workflow Orchestration (Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar)
- Containerization: Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
- Deep knowledge of Software Engineering best practices for data pipelines
- Ability to balance big picture with hands-on engineering
- Comfortable leveraging GenAI-assisted coding and code reviews
- First experience acting as team or tech lead
- Ability to act as trusted advisor and communicate technical topics clearly
Aufgaben
- Lead and inspire a team of data engineers
- Mentor team members in data engineering and platform best practices
- Own architecture, development, and operation of the data platform
- Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of data pipelines
- Automate platform operations and streamline data workflows
- Minimize manual intervention in data processes
- Serve as the primary contact for data engineering teams
- Advise on platform usage, data modeling, and pipeline design
- Collaborate cross-functionally to set data engineering standards
- Champion data engineering excellence and security concepts
- Architect, code, review, and deploy critical data infrastructure
- Drive adoption of modern tooling, including GenAI-assisted coding
- Apply critical thinking to tool recommendations and outputs
