- Configuration Management experience
- MTA administration and troubleshooting
- Good scripting knowledge (Perl, Bash)
- Some programming and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of security software is a plus
- PostgreSQL experience is a plus
- RPM creation experience
- VMware/vSphere/vCenter experience is a plus
Aufgaben
- Install and configure Linux hosts, primarily Red Hat.
- Create, deploy, and manage virtual hosts using VMware.
- Deploy and configure various Java applications.
- Set up and configure Apache and Tomcat installations.
- Script common tasks using Perl and Bash.
- Plan for and troubleshoot resource bottlenecks.
- Resolve issues with application, web, and database performance.
- Develop creative solutions for technical challenges.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Own projects and drive them to timely completion.
- Quickly learn and adapt new technologies to the infrastructure.
- Utilize open source software to adapt solutions.
- Design and deploy enterprise technologies.
- Prioritize and resolve multiple customer inquiries.
- Assist with escalations from L1 and L2 engineers.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn new technologies.
