Anforderungen
- Master's/PhD in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics, or related field with strong signal processing, system identification, control theory background
- 3+ years applying signal processing, control theory, system identification, preferably in low-SNR settings
- Strong mathematical background in signal processing, system identification, statistics/machine learning theory
- Capability to digest scientific literature effectively, including cross-disciplinary domains
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic/ambiguous environment
- 3+ years writing software in Python and one compiled/typed language (e.g. C/C++, Rust)
- 3+ years of industry or applied environment experience
- Experience analyzing biomedical signals in low SNR regime (e.g. spectroscopy, EEG, EMG)
- Experience working with PPG or IMU sensor data
- Experience in optimal control methods (e.g. model predictive control, dynamic programming)
- Experience in optics or photonics
- Experience in software development
- Experience with machine learning frameworks PyTorch and/or jax
- Non-EU/EFTA nationals cannot be sponsored for work permits
Aufgaben
- Develop new methods to optimize SNR and identifiability using signal processing, system identification, and machine learning.
- Perform research and build solutions for a non-invasive monitoring smartwatch.
- Acquire and combine multi-disciplinary knowledge in biophotonics, medicine, electronics, computational, and statistics.
