Protection Officer - IDPs(m/w/x)

Anforderungen
- •6 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree, or 5 years relevant experience with Graduate degree, or 4 years relevant experience with Doctorate degree
- •Degree in Law, International Law, International Refugee Law, International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, Political Sciences, or other relevant field
- •Minimum 4 years of relevant and diverse professional experience in UNHCR IDP operations, including experience in working directly with Field Offices and internally displaced people
- •Good knowledge of International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law and ability to apply the relevant legal principles
- •Excellent legal research, analytical skills and drafting
- •Good IT skills including database management skills
- •Substantial field and inter-agency experience, particularly in internal displacement contexts
- •Strong experience in capacity-building, particularly in designing and delivering webinars and similar learning activities for diverse audiences
- •Solid understanding of relevant legal, policy, and institutional frameworks
- •Strong analytical capacities and strategic thinking, combined with a sound grasp of UNHCR’s protection mandate and engagement in IDP situations
- •Proven track record in drafting high-quality analytical documents, policy briefs, talking points, and reports tailored to various stakeholders
- •Ability to distill complex legal and policy information into clear, actionable messages and recommendations
- •Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and coordination skills
- •Proficiency in English
- •Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish considered an asset

- •Support UNHCR IDP operations and Regional Bureaus
- •Provide advocacy support for field operations
- •Serve as the main focal point for field operations support
