- Proven expertise in image processing, geometric data processing, geodesy, spectrometer, interferometer, radar data processing, Earth remote sensing, space instrument design and performance
- Broad physical and mathematical background
- General knowledge in numerical modeling and simulation
- Software Engineering background (Git, Continuous Integration, S/W builds)
- Knowledge and experience in programming such as C++ and Python or Matlab
- Experience working in an agile S/W project (Scrum) is an asset
- Background in processes and standards in space industry is an asset
- Fluency in English and German
Aufgaben
- Design algorithms for processing remote sensing data
- Prototype and analyze geometric, radiometric, and spectral processing methods
- Define and implement simulation models for data analysis
- Generate representative data covering observation scenes and instrument signal paths
- Establish specifications for end-to-end simulators
- Create verification plans to support performance assessments
- Develop an understanding of measurement principles of space-born instruments
- Build relationships with Space System projects and the scientific community
- Understand customer needs for remote sensing data products
- Conduct detailed design and analysis tasks reliably
- Integrate into a multinational team and foster good relationships
- Contribute ideas for advancing data processing methods
