- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning
- Experience with Physic Engines
- Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab
- Experience with ROS
- Analytical mindset
- Enthusiasm for mobile robotics
- Fluency in English or German
Aufgaben
- Design a simulation environment for a wheeled, bipedal robot in NVIDIA Isaac Sim
- Ensure realistic physics for hybrid locomotion
- Develop and train reinforcement learning algorithms for hybrid locomotion tasks
- Implement transitions between locomotion modes
- Balance the robot on uneven terrain
- Compare simulated behavior with real-world performance of the bipedal robot
