- 10+ years IT Outsourcing experience (offshore/nearshore)
- Strong market knowledge: app dev/maintenance, infra ops, IT services
- Industry experience: insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
- Navigate sector-specific regulatory, risk, compliance in sourcing
- Proficiency executing pragmatic solutions with stakeholders
- Track record advancing business priorities via procurement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Build productive relationships with business partners/suppliers
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Business, IT, or scientific/technical field
- CIPS or equivalent professional procurement qualification preferred
- Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Swiss Re's leadership imperatives
- Focus on driving sustainable performance and continuous improvement
- Experience in global, matrixed organization
- Exposure to cross-regional sourcing strategies and governance
- Familiarity with digital transformation programs
- Familiarity with procurement implications of cloud, AI, automation
- Strong financial acumen
- Total cost of ownership modelling and business case development
- Cost optimization methodologies
- Additional language skills beyond English (German, French, or other European languages are a plus)
- Experience with procurement technology platforms and digital sourcing tools
Aufgaben
- Align the category team strategically to business and domain priorities
- Deliver clear and measurable procurement value
- Partner with IT leadership to optimize the external vendor mix
- Rationalize the vendor base
- Improve tool and product utilization
- Own end-to-end sourcing strategy across IT Outsourcing categories
- Build trusted relationships with business partners and suppliers
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with confidence
- Lead and develop the IT Outsourcing Procurement and Sourcing Execution team
- Drive a culture of accountability and innovation
- Coordinate with Procurement peers to deliver an enterprise-wide approach
- Maximize value and mitigate supply chain risk
- Define, track and report on KPIs
- Ensure transparent delivery against targets for senior stakeholders
- Embed governance and compliance across all sourcing activities
- Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks
- Drive transformation with an entrepreneurial, outcome-focused mindset
- Continuously evolve procurement processes
- Monitor market trends
- Bring innovative sourcing models and commercial structures to Swiss Re
