You will drive the deployment of power systems at CERN by performing advanced testing and validation. Your day-to-day involves solving technical issues and ensuring the reliability of world-class electrical infrastructure.

Anforderungen

• •Degree in electrical engineering, power systems or related technical field
• •Basic knowledge of power system equipment and electrical protection principles
• •Motivation to learn commissioning practices in HV/LV environments
• •Strong analytical mindset, communication skills and willingness to work in field environments
• •Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French
• •National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
• •Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation
• •Bachelor's or Master's degree
• •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
• •Valid driving licence

Aufgaben

• •Lead commissioning for HV and LV switchgears
• •Test transformers and circuit breakers
• •Commission UPS and 48 V DC systems
• •Validate protection relays and secondary injections
• •Prepare commissioning procedures and test plans
• •Draft risk assessments for electrical installations
• •Perform logic validation and SCADA communication tests
• •Verify interlocking functionality across systems
• •Identify and resolve technical commissioning issues
• •Define and implement necessary corrective actions
• •Coordinate with project teams and external suppliers
• •Produce detailed commissioning reports
• •Integrate technical data into documentation systems
