- Experience in monitoring system health and performance indicators
- Experience with Rundeck automation or orchestration tools
- Familiarity with large-scale, high-availability database environments
- Proficiency with Angular and Flask
- Knowledge of containerisation/container orchestration
- Knowledge of the ELK stack
- Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum two years post-graduation professional experience in Computer Science or related field
- Highest educational qualification is Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- University degree required
- PhD not eligible
Aufgaben
- Operate and support the Database on Demand (DBOD) service
- Administer MySQL, PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB instances
- Contribute to the administration of DBOD instances
- Participate in the evolution of the user interface (Angular, Flask)
- Design and configure service architecture
- Manage database upgrades and patches
- Handle hardware migrations
- Monitor system health and performance
- Ensure high performance, availability, and security
- Assist and advise users on DBOD service
- Discuss and implement service enhancements
- Provide technical mentorship and cross-training
- Perform operations tasks and software development
- Work with open-source software
- Gain experience with IT infrastructure (AlmaLinux 9, OpenStack, Puppet, Prometheus, GitLab)
