Anforderungen
- Master degree or above (PhD) in quantitative economics, statistics, mathematics, physics, operation research or related quantitative discipline
- Strong theoretical foundation in statistics, econometrics, time series analysis, and machine learning methodologies
- Causal inference knowledge is a big plus
- At least 3 years industry experience (1 year with PhD)
- Developing forecasting models using statistical methods and machine learning
- Understand tradeoff of forecasting methods and applications
- Deep knowledge of state of the art forecasting practices
- Bias for simplicity in forecasting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Curious and self-starter mindset
- Ability to unblock yourself
- Proactively request support when needed
- Deep proficiency in Python
- Deep proficiency in SQL
- Deep proficiency in PySpark
- Commitment to high coding standards
- Active participation in code reviews

Aufgaben
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and analysts
- Refine industry-leading article demand forecast engine
- Support senior members and Product Managers in scientific roadmap
- Work with Principal Scientists and leaders to maximize forecast performance
- Conceptualize, prototype, and productionize advanced demand forecast solutions
- Solve complex problems using various methods and tools
- Communicate technical issues and results to team members and stakeholders
- Educate stakeholders about products and solutions
- Participate in the full development cycle of algorithms
- Discover opportunities and iteratively improve models
- Explore new data sources and problem structuring methods
- Build and streamline model pipelines and analysis processes
- Use programming tools like Python, Databricks, Scala, SQL, PyTorch, Tensorflow
