**Your Role:**
The Life Science Services (LSS) FP&A team partners with the LSS Controlling team as well as global business leaders to report on/forecast the business results and to build/support strategic initiatives.
The main responsibilities of the position in Life Science Services involve a range of essential tasks that ensure effective financial management and reporting. The role begins with preparing closing activities and reviews for LSS, which includes updating templates and slides, consolidating inputs from team members, and meeting all timelines with accurate results, including providing overviews for management reviews.
Another key aspect of the position is consolidating sales and profit & loss forecasts from LSS controlling partners and validating these inputs into planning tools. This process requires collaboration with the Head of LSS Controlling to prepare necessary commentary, bridges, and slide decks. The individual will also work closely with business partnering organizations to analyze the LSS profit & loss statement and understand the dynamics of sales development.
Additionally, the role entails creating, maintaining, and automating reports for the LSS controlling team in a timely manner, such as headcount reports, and improving the production reporting, closing, and forecasting processes. Preparing accurate and timely financial reporting deliverables for LSS to be provided to Life Science FP&A is another critical responsibility.
The individual will also maintain the LSS Controlling Teams channel, keep the LSS Controlling calendar updated, and communicate timelines, deliverables, and key information to the team. Representing LSS FP&A Controlling as a Key User for financial systems is essential, which involves attending meetings, coordinating updates, and providing support and training as needed. Lastly, the role requires participation as the LSS FP&A Controlling representative in key Life Science projects, which includes attending meetings and workshops, collecting and coordinating requirements for LSS, and keeping the LSS Controlling team informed about project topics and progress.
**Who You Are:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting discipline with 3+ years of financial working experience or Bachelor’s degree in Business with 5+ years of experience working in Finance or Accounting.
* Exceptional Excel skills (advanced user – lookups, pivot tables, large data sets, etc.) with 3+ years of experience.
* Strong oral and written communications in English, able to communicate globally across cultures
* Attention to detail and focus on quality and timeliness; feel comfortable working with large volumes of data to create concise analysis while culling out relevant insights
* Ability to build/improve/automate processes with significant data sets
* Ability to work independently, balance multiple deliverables/activities and be goal/deadline oriented
* Collaborative with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and intuitively challenge the status quo
* Demonstrate flexibility and maintain open mind set with regards to technical challenges and changing priorities working in a global business environment
* Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle & SAP), familiar with TM1, Business Objects, SAP Analytics Cloud, Powerpoint (including Think-Cell)
