**The opportunity**
As Team Leader for Quality & Continuous Improvement, you will lead the quality function and contribute to the site’s leadership team. Your mission is to foster a strong quality culture, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the value chain—from R&D to production and testing. You will lead a small but impactful team, coach cross-functional groups, and champion a mindset where quality is a shared responsibility—not just the role of the quality department.
**How you’ll make an impact**
* Lead and develop the quality team, ensuring the right skills and capabilities
* Champion a culture of shared quality ownership across the GCoC, act as a change agent, promoting accountability and operational excellence (lead time, cost, inventory)
* Influence stakeholders and coach teams to resolve quality issues at the source
* Maintain and improve quality systems, internal controls, and compliance (including corporate and regulatory standards) across all functions
* Represent the Voice of the Customer through feedback and complaint resolution
* Drive resolution of top quality issues, monitor KPIs, and lead audits, ensuring adherence to Hitachi Energy’s quality framework.
* Deploy continuous improvement strategies using Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies
* Collaborate with SCM to ensure supplier quality and alignment with standards
**Your Background**
* Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering—or equivalent in Quality
* 5+ years in quality and systems management, including 3+ years in team leadership
* Proven ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
* Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
* Certified Green or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma
* Proficient in quality tools (8D, DFMEA, PFMEA) and continuous improvement
* Experience in electromechanical or electronic manufacturing; energy or power electronics sector is a plus
