# Quality Assurance Officer

**Quality Assurance Officer**
**Location**: Basel, Switzerland
**Type**: Part-Time (80%) - Fixed-term contract for 1 (one) year.
**Join us and make a difference when it matters most!**
We are looking for an entry-level Quality Assurance Officer with a foundational understanding of GDP requirements. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in QA, distribution, or a similar regulated environment.
This is a part-time, on-site position (80%) based in Basel. Candidates should live in Basel or the surrounding region, as 2-3 days office presence is required.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Quality Management System (QMS)
· Write, review, and maintain SOPs, policies, and other controlled documents for QA-related GDP activities.
· Manage and follow up on QMS tasks including deviations, change controls, CAPAs, complaints, and audit findings.
· Support preparation of QA metrics and Quality Management Reviews.
· Deliver internal training sessions on GDP and QA topics.
· Assist with product quality investigations, including temperature excursions and product defects.
2. Supplier Qualification & Documentation
· Maintain the Supplier Qualification process (including technical agreements, audits, license checks).
· Ensure accuracy and timely updates to the Approved Supplier List.
· Support qualification of service providers (distributors, logistics partners, etc.).
3. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring compliance while identifying opportunities to enhance QA processes.
· Collaborate closely with colleagues in Supply Chain, Regulatory, Commercial, and Project Management.
· Perform additional QA tasks as delegated by the FvP (Responsible Person under Swiss GDP).
**What You'll Bring**
· University degree in a natural science discipline (e.g., pharmacy, biology, chemistry).
· At least 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance under GDP conditions.
· Prior experience in wholesale, distribution, or logistics is a plus.
· Strong working knowledge of GDP/GMP requirements.
· Comfortable working in a regulated environment with document and process ownership.
· Fluent in English and German (min. B1). Other languages are an advantage.
· Proficient in MS Office and quality system tools; experience with databases preferred.
· Team player with strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a pragmatic mindset.
· Reside in Basel or nearby and are available to work regularly on-site.
