You will drive forward the application of oxyfuel combustion as an efficient measure for carbon capture. Together with the UMSICHT team and our project partners, you will create solutions for climate-positive and CO2-negative processes.
**What you will do**
* Optimization of the pilot plant for the combustion of solid fuels (biomass, waste) with oxygen and subsequent CO2 capture
* Development of models for calculation and design
* Design and optimization of a flexible oxygen supply
* Optimization of the pilot plant based on test and simulation results
* Development of design and process engineering solutions for subsequent market integration
* Preparation of publications and presentations of research results
* Transfer of your research results to other applications
* Coordination with partners and stakeholders from industry and research
**What you bring to the table**
* Completed studies in process engineering, environmental process engineering, energy technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
* Interest in a varied subject area with diverse challenges in planning and design, design and implementation of tests on a prototype in the technical center as well as the supervision of large-scale tests
* Previous knowledge in the fields of combustion technology and CO2 capture advantageous
* The will to continuously expand your professional and personal experience and the willingness to present your results internally and externally in presentations and publications
* Strong independent and conscientious way of working, ability to work in a team, quick comprehension
