## Job Description
**Your responsibilities**
Join the IP Management and KT Policies (IP) Section of the Knowledge Transfer (KT) Group! As a Legal Adviser, you'll be involved in all of the various activities of the IP Section.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Drafting and reviewing a variety of agreements related to CERN's knowledge transfer activities, such as license agreements and R&D agreements with other scientific institutes, start-ups and industry.
* Providing legal assistance on intellectual property related matters to CERN personnel and the various CERN units.
* Addressing policy matters related to intellectual property and knowledge transfer.
**Your profile**
Skills:
* Experience with intellectual property law (e.g. copyright, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, etc.), new technologies and licensing acquired in a law firm, industry or scientific institutes with international exposure.
* Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law or New Technology Law.
* A bar exam admission is considered an asset.
* Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
Eligibility criteria:
* You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
* You have a professional background in Law (or a related field) and have either:
* a **Master's degree with 2 to 6 years** of post-graduation professional experience;
* or a **PhD with no more than 3 years** of post-graduation professional experience.
* You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
