As the Director External Supply Operations – Global Specialty, you will be an integral part of our TechOps Biologics / Specialties team. This role empowers you to lead a team in managing vital supplier partnerships and operational strategies worldwide. You will actively contribute to the development and execution of our strategic goals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement in our specialty operations.
**What you can expect**
* You will lead the External Supplier Relationship team with the focus on Global Specialty segment, focusing on managing relationships with external partners to enhance performance and efficiency
* You will implement metrics and performance dashboards, ensuring proactive follow-up on deviations from objectives
* You are responsible for ensuring on-time product availability from contract manufacturing organizations under favorable conditions
* You will develop a team of ESO Managers and Purchasers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
* You will represent ESO Global Specialty in cross-functional meetings, building partnerships with various departments
* You will proactively identify supply risks and create strategies to minimize their impact.
* You will lead strategic initiatives to optimize sourcing conditions and improve Cost of Goods (CoGs)
**Who we are looking for**
* You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related science (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
* You bring proven experience in managing external manufacturers within the Pharma industry, complemented by strong business and financial acumen
* You possess excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and drive initiatives
* You are fluent in English, with fluency in German or other European languages considered a plus
* You demonstrate a resilient personality with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation in high-demand markets.
