UH-60 A/L/M Maintenance Test Pilot - FAA Pilot License(m/w/x)
Managing CH-47 maintenance operations and conducting acceptance test flights. 300 hours PIC on UH-60 required. International travel to Germany.
Requirements
- Proficiency in day VFR conditions flying
- Minimum 1,000 hours total PIC time (preferred); minimum 300 hours PIC on UH-60 (required)
- Proficiency check completion within 12 months
- US Citizenship for US Govt Secret Clearance and facility/base access
- Valid US Passport for Germany travel
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- UH-60 A/L/M Level qualification; V-Model knowledge (preferred)
- U.S. military technical school or specialized training course (preferred)
- Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course (MTPC) completion or equivalency evaluation (IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20); US ARMY AMOC (phase 1&2) completion and qualification
- US Army Upslip or FAA Class II flight physical (initial and annual completion)
- FAA or Military Class 2 flight physical (have or pass)
- FAA Certificate (Rotorcraft, Commercial pilot); FAA Commercial Certificates instrument rating
- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, US Army Maintenance procedures and regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Security Clearance
- Interim SECRET approval for deployment
- TESA approval qualification (German Govt); 5 years total Aviation maintenance experience
- Effective English communication (read, write)
- Proven, verifiable aviation experience; highest standards of ethics, ability, professionalism
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of aircraft navigational and communication equipment operation
- Ability to compute and annotate aircraft weight and balance logs
- Ability to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth
- Ability to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools
- Physical capability to climb vertical ladders or aircraft steps (10-12 feet)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (4 feet) and 20 pounds (7 feet)
Tasks
- Understand AOR airspace operations.
- Fly proficiently in day VFR conditions.
- Perform routine acceptance tests on aircraft post-maintenance.
- Manage CH-47 maintenance operations.
- Ensure aircraft maintenance adheres to manuals, directives, and readiness rates.
- Successfully pass no-notice flight evaluations and exams.
- Maintain full qualification in aircraft.
- Perform as a crewmember when necessary.
- Test aircraft for compliance and suitability.
- Operate test aircraft and support for prescribed tests.
- Coordinate flight operations efforts.
- Oversee maintenance operations.
- Test fly aircraft.
- Troubleshoot aircraft issues.
- Manage maintenance flow.
