Requirements

  • University degree in environmental sciences, law, policy, economics, business, natural sciences, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience post-graduation, with at least 2 years in relevant industry
  • Proven experience in sustainable fuels or related energy/fuel markets
  • Strong understanding of sustainability certification systems and regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with voluntary frameworks (SBTi, GHG Protocol) and Scope 1-3 accounting
  • Knowledge of Chain of Custody methodologies (Mass Balance, Book & Claim)
  • Advantageous experience with registry systems, digital certification tools, or IT tracking systems
  • Proven background in stakeholder engagement, external communications, and public speaking
  • Experience in client-facing roles (account management, consulting, sales)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Independent working style
  • Excellent English language skills (C1 written and spoken)

Tasks

  • Develop and maintain ISCC certification frameworks
  • Improve Chain of Custody systems for SAF, AMF, and road fuels
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and market requirements
  • Monitor global regulatory and voluntary frameworks
  • Assess implications for ISCC certification schemes
  • Develop proactive system responses and improvements
  • Research and refine Chain of Custody methodologies
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders
  • Build and maintain IT infrastructure
  • Develop digital tools for Book & Claim operations
  • Liaise with global policymakers and regulators
  • Engage with standard-setting bodies
  • Develop governance and integrity frameworks
  • Establish eligibility criteria and claim rules
  • Prevent double counting in certification systems
  • Design and implement corrective measures
  • Ensure high-integrity certification and registry systems
  • Build relationships in the sustainable fuels value chain
  • Design and deliver training programs
  • Support certification bodies and auditors
  • Represent ISCC at international conferences
  • Develop technical papers and communication materials
  • Support thought leadership in sustainable fuels
