Sustainability Manager – Sustainable Fuels (Marine Fuels)(m/w/x)
Developing ISCC certification schemes for alternative marine fuels. Technical expertise in AMF pathways and regulatory frameworks required. 4 weeks remote work, 33 vacation days.
Requirements
- University degree
- Degree in environmental sciences, law, policy, economics, business management, natural sciences, or related field
- Background in sustainable and alternative fuels or conventional fuels
- Experience in marine fuel operations
- Understanding of sustainability certification systems and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with voluntary market frameworks for marine sector
- Knowledge of chain of custody methodologies and product supply operations
- Ability in stakeholder engagement, external communications, and public speaking
- Experience in client relationship management or similar stakeholder-facing roles
- Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and independent working style
- Excellent English language skills (C1, written and spoken)
Tasks
- Develop and maintain ISCC certification schemes for Alternative Marine Fuels (AMF)
- Ensure alignment with evolving legislation, market requirements, and international standards
- Provide technical expertise on AMF pathways for scheme development, audit procedures, and system documentation
- Monitor global regulatory frameworks for sustainable marine fuels
- Assess regulatory implications for ISCC certification schemes
- Develop proactive responses and certification solutions for emerging regulations
- Research and develop chain of custody methodologies for alternative marine fuels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with maritime sector stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and market development
- Design and deliver training programs for certification bodies, auditors, and system users
- Represent ISCC at conferences, industry events, and stakeholder workshops
- Develop presentations, technical papers, and guidance documents for the marine fuels sector
