Senior Business Development Manager – Automotive (EMEA)(m/w/x)
Closing complex, high-value deals for automotive platform solutions and custom silicon programs in EMEA. 5+ years semiconductor IC, ASIC/SoC, or foundry services experience required. Focus on strategic engagements with established EMEA automotive ecosystem network.
Requirements
- 5+ years business development, sales, or account management
- Background in Semiconductor IC, ASIC/SoC, or foundry services and Automotive electronics ecosystem
- Proven success closing complex, high-value deals
- Established network within EMEA automotive ecosystem
- Strong understanding of automotive system architectures: ADAS / perception systems, Power Train / Electrification, Real-time and zonal compute systems
- Familiarity with processor IP and silicon development flows
- Strong customer engagement and negotiation capabilities
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple opportunities
- Excellent communication bridging technical and commercial topics
- Structured pipeline and account management approach
- Track record working with European OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers
- Experience selling silicon or platform-based solutions
- Experience with Embedded Compute Architectures
Tasks
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Close deals with automotive customers in EMEA
- Lead the full sales lifecycle from initial contact to contract execution
- Focus on strategic engagements with Automotive platform solutions
- Manage Custom silicon programs and Processor IP licensing
- Act as primary account owner for key OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers
- Build strong relationships with engineering, purchasing, and executives
- Develop and execute account strategies aligned with customer roadmaps
- Work closely with customer engineering teams to understand system requirements
- Position MIPS’ value proposition, including Open RISC-V-based compute architectures
- Highlight high-performance, multi-threaded CPU IP and functional safety-ready solutions
- Translate technical requirements into compelling commercial proposals
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Ensure accurate forecasting and CRM management
- Track progress toward revenue targets
- Expand relationships with automotive design houses and system integrators
- Support industry engagement through conferences and customer workshops
- Strengthen MIPS’ presence in the European automotive market
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, marketing, and foundry teams
- Align internal stakeholders to drive successful customer engagements
- Provide input to product roadmap based on market and customer needs
