EHS Manager(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Degree in engineering, environmental science, or occupational safety
- Certified Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (ASiG)
- Several years of EHS experience in manufacturing/operational environment
- Strong knowledge of German EHS legislation
- Proven experience implementing EHS management systems
- Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 systems
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies
- Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP or similar systems
- Structured, independent working style with accountability
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage and influence
Tasks
- Lead EHS for Germany manufacturing facilities
- Support regional field organizations with EHS
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and ISO requirements
- Drive continuous EHS performance and culture improvement
- Integrate EHS into business processes and decision-making
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory authorities and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures
- Comply with German occupational safety, environmental, and waste regulations
- Act as Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit, Fire Protection Officer, and Waste Manager
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
- Support safety analyses, operating procedures, and risk evaluations
- Promote proactive safety culture with incident and near-miss reporting
- Deliver EHS training programs and build employee capability
- Manage and improve environmental and safety management systems
- Ensure compliant waste management processes
- Prepare and report EHS KPIs locally and globally
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support external inspections
- Collaborate with works councils, occupational health providers, and associations
- Work with safety representatives, first aiders, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Establish and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity
- Provide expert EHS guidance to leadership
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
