Requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related
- 2-4 years professional experience in software testing, test cases, documentation, and network technology
- Strong English communication skills
- Beneficial German language skills
- Team player
- Willingness to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Willingness to do business trips to customer in Europe and to headquarters in US, up to 50%
Tasks
- Analyze and validate reported software issues
- Provide troubleshooting plans for root cause discovery
- Deliver rapid resolution for systemic issues
- Install and configure software on ELS, NPI, and FIF
- Document and perform first-of-kind installs on HVM tools
- Develop and train on software installation procedures
- Collect and incorporate customer-specific test scenarios
- Construct simulators for testing and troubleshooting
- Execute test plans to validate software releases
- Create, test, and verify installation and upgrade instructions
- Research and resolve internal and external application issues
- Investigate high-value customer problems and systematic bugs
- Consult on Factory Automation scenarios
- Resolve questions on tool operations and settings
- Foster customer trust in Applied Materials Software
- Provide ongoing training to customers and customer engineers
- Analyze customer OS performance and integration issues
- Deliver updates and reports to managers, partners, and peers
