Key Account Sales Manager(m/w/x)

Requirements

  • Strong automotive sales experience, preferably with OEM customers (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group)
  • Proven experience managing OEM/Tier customer relationships and negotiations
  • Deep technical knowledge of internal combustion engines and powertrain components
  • Strong understanding of financial data, pricing, margins, and cost analysis
  • Proactive maker mentality, strong coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across international/cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, SAP, ERP systems, and customer portals
  • Fluent English and German (spoken and written)
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Ownership and proactive approach

Tasks

  • Manage sales activities for powertrain components
  • Act as key commercial contact for OEM and Tier customers
  • Develop and strengthen long-term customer relationships
  • Prepare quotations and pricing strategies
  • Create sales presentations and contract negotiations
  • Develop customer strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Conduct market, cost, SWOT, and pricing analyses
  • Prepare and maintain Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
  • Maintain Long Range Plans (LRP) and sales forecasts
  • Input sales planning data into systems like SOPS, CCAT, Hunting Lists, and Action Plans
  • Monitor margins, inflation impacts, and pricing deviations
  • Initiate negotiations and corrective actions for volume changes
  • Coordinate global RFQs and customer inquiries
  • Align internal commercial activities including costing and capacity reviews
  • Administer customer portals and sales-related documentation
  • Maintain contracts, orders, and pricing updates in SAP/ERP systems
  • Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, finance, logistics, quality, legal, and operations teams
  • Support finance and manufacturing plants in resolving overdue payments
  • Address pricing discrepancies and warranty discussions
  • Manage customer escalations and support crisis communication
