Developing train control systems for Traxx Locomotives, including architecture design and implementation. EU citizenship and eligibility for VIE assignment required. 24-month contract with work on latest railway standards.
Requirements
- Between 18 and 28 years old
- EU citizen
- Eligible for VIE assignment
- Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
- Not currently residing in Germany
- Move to work location for contract duration
- Hands-on experience in design & development software (EN-IEC 61131)
- Knowledge of EN 50657, EN 50716, EN 50128 and EN50129
- Experience in electrical and schematic design activities is valuable
- Knowledge of network technologies is beneficial (MVB, CAN, IPTCOM, TRDP)
- Fluent in English
- German is a bonus
- Team spirit and willingness to cooperate

Tasks
- Develop and maintain train control systems for Traxx Locomotives
- Contribute to concepts, design, and requirements of train control functionality
- Design and implement TCMS architecture
- Derive software design and requirements
- Implement changes and new functionality
- Evaluate problem reports from field testing and laboratory tests
- Support vehicle integration, testing, and validation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company
