- Supervise acceptance of major system upgrades
- Maintain system performance throughout its lifecycle
- Propose system improvements and modifications
- Participate in system anomaly boards
- Support technical resolution of issues
- Conduct requirements engineering using DOORS
- Follow up on conceptual design activities for satellite communications
- Establish requirements for satellite systems and ground segments
- Analyze end-to-end communications performance
- Lead system trade-offs for satellite communication systems
- Define overall system architecture
- Develop verification and validation concepts at the system level
- Collaborate on operations concept and operational requirements
- Provide technical support to project managers on planning and risk identification
