Staff Hardware Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing PCBs with microcontrollers and NFC antennas, developing NFC wireless charging solutions at an embedded semiconductor firm. MSc in Electrical Engineering and hands-on EE lab equipment skills essential. Remote work option, flexible working hours.
Requirements
- MSc in Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity with Altium Designer
- Hands-on skills for re-work, bring-up and troubleshooting using EE lab equipment
- Solid EMC theory knowledge and practical problem-solving skills
- Skills with EE simulation tools like Cadence, LTSpice, Qucs and CST Studio
- Experience in NFC/RFID protocols, standards and products
- Basic skills for Firmware updates, interface sniffing and protocol debugging
- Openness to customer inputs, self-reflective and self-critical personality, good communication with customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to share expert know-how within the team and with customers
- Sound knowledge of English
Tasks
- Support FAEs and Tier 1 customers via JIRA
- Answer technical questions and conduct design reviews
- Evaluate prototypes for NFC Point-Of-Sale and IoT
- Design PCBs with microcontrollers and NFC antennas
- Develop NFC wireless charging solutions from antenna to battery
- Lead customer projects and internal development programs
- Perform measurements using RF lab equipment
- Conduct EMC tests and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain documentation repository
- Write and update application notes and articles
- Create presentations for technical training
- Develop technical training for customers and staff
