Developing L1/L2 payload processing applications for Earth Observation missions. Scientific software development and Python expertise required. Support processor transfer to operational environment.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline
  • PhD in a relevant discipline (advantageous)
  • Very good understanding of scientific software development, remote sensing, and algorithms
  • Very good knowledge of Python, optimally including Jupyter notebooks
  • Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting
  • Working experience with remote sensing data
  • Organised and methodical working attitude with strengths in analysis, synthesis, and presentation
  • Proficiency in English
  • Hands-on experience with containerization standards (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud-based computing and parallelization
  • Familiarity with common formats (XML, netCDF, HDF)
  • Curious and proactive attitude towards problem solving and exploring new technologies
  • Experience within the space industry

  • Optimize developed code
  • Refactor developed code
