Simulation Software Engineer(m/w/x)
Building core simulation infrastructure for humanoid robot intelligence. GPU simulator experience, Python/PyTorch, and physics simulation understanding required. Competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Strong experience building/extending robotics simulation systems
- Hands-on experience with GPU simulators (MuJoCo, Isaac Gym/Lab)
- Proven track record building simulation infrastructure for learning-based robotics
- Excellent Python and Pytorch programming skills
- Deep understanding of physics simulation (rigid body dynamics, contacts, actuators)
- Knowledge of GPU systems and performance optimization
- Experience with deformable objects, soft contacts, or complex actuation systems
- Experience with multi-GPU/distributed training systems
- Experience with Nvidia's Warp
Tasks
- Design and build core simulation infrastructure
- Maintain simulation architecture and reliability
- Develop and refine physical models
- Improve simulation fidelity for contacts, actuators, and sensors
- Optimize simulation for parallel reinforcement learning
- Identify and remove compute and memory bottlenecks
- Integrate and extend photorealistic rendering pipelines
- Generate synthetic datasets for perception systems
- Maintain software-in-the-loop testing infrastructure
- Validate policies and systems in simulation
- Collaborate with RL, control, perception, and hardware teams
