Senior Software Test Engineer, L3 and L4 - Autonomous Driving(m/w/x)
Developing test strategy and execution plans for L3/L4 autonomous driving products on vehicle platforms. 10+ years of ADAS, system analysis, and software architecture experience required. Collaboration with engineering, safety, and product teams.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years proven experience in ADAS, system analysis, data analysis, and software architecture
- 3+ years experience driving mass-production launch of autonomous driving products
- Proficiency in Python, C++ for AV development and testing
- Familiarity with data query and analysis tools
- Awareness of functional safety (ISO 26262)
- Awareness of SOTIF / ISO 21448
- Awareness of V-model validation methodologies
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive alignment across large organizations
- Proven understanding of trade-offs between End-to-End deep learning and classical modular perception/planning stacks
- Proven understanding of associated validation and test strategies
- Deep understanding of autonomous vehicle sensor suites (LiDAR, Radar, Camera, Ultrasonic)
- Deep understanding of sensor suite failure modes and edge cases
- Deep understanding of sensor suite validation requirements
- Technical mentorship to junior engineers
- Lead by example in establishing rigorous testing and validation standards
- Experience contributing to launched L3/L4 autonomous vehicle program
- Hands-on experience with testing strategy for ADAS
- Hands-on experience with large-scale datasets
- Hands-on experience with data analytics workflows
- Innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to resolve problems
- Passion for autonomous technology
- Self-motivated about autonomous technology
Tasks
- Develop test strategy and use cases for L3 and L4 autonomous driving products
- Define test strategy and execution plan on vehicle platform
- Formulate test cases and critical performance metrics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and evaluate product progress
- Establish strong relationships with engineering, safety, and product teams
- Design campaigns and roadmaps to scale and innovate product ODDs
- Lead L3/L4 vehicle integration and retrofitting processes
- Manage end-to-end testing and validation schedules
- Conduct data triage and root cause analysis
- Drive issue resolution and generate comprehensive test reports
- Promote a strong systems engineering approach across the organization
