Senior Scientist Mechanical Actuation Technologies(m/w/x)
Developing novel mechanical actuation systems and fast-moving mechanisms for industrial applications. PhD or MSc with relevant industrial mechanics research experience required. Flexible working practices, parental leave program.
Requirements
- PhD in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field
- MSc with relevant experience
- Ability to identify, structure, evaluate innovation challenges
- Interest in industrial application of actuation systems
- Experience in mechanics research for industrial systems
- Solid knowledge in mechanism kinematics and dynamics
- Substantial theoretical knowledge of multi-body dynamics simulation tools
- Hands-on experience with Adams, RecurDyn, Simpack or similar
- Knowledge and experience with transient analyses in structural mechanics simulation tools
- Experience in practical mechanical design
- Manufacturing engineering aspects consideration
- Related IT skills
- Track record of scientific publications
- Well acquainted with laboratory work
- Selection of appropriate testing methods
- Development of test setups
- Execution of tests following best practices
- LabView proficiency
- Collaborative mindset
- Creative mindset
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Curiosity to explore new fields of research and technology
- Fluent English
- Proficiency in German
