Requirements
- PhD in physics, quantum technology, electronics engineering, or similar
- 3+ years of experience in trapped-ion quantum technology
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
- Experience in industrial environment
- Proficiency in English; German or willingness to learn
- Motivation and good communication skills
- Personnel management experience
- Willingness to relocate to Austria/Villach
- Willingness to travel
Tasks
- Coordinate ITC development and fabrication with project partners
- Establish infrastructure for testing and operating ITC devices
- Consult with project partners on ITC design for technological advancement
- Contribute to the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of new ion trap chips
- Disseminate and report research findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences
- Align activities with industrial and academic partners in the pilot line
- Supervise students
- Engage in relevant networks
- Manage projects
- Acquire new projects
