Requirements

  • •PhD in physics, quantum technology, electronics engineering, or similar
  • •3+ years of experience in trapped-ion quantum technology
  • •Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
  • •Experience in industrial environment
  • •Proficiency in English; German or willingness to learn
  • •Motivation and good communication skills
  • •Personnel management experience
  • •Willingness to relocate to Austria/Villach
  • •Willingness to travel

Tasks

  • •Coordinate ITC development and fabrication with project partners
  • •Establish infrastructure for testing and operating ITC devices
  • •Consult with project partners on ITC design for technological advancement
  • •Contribute to the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of new ion trap chips
  • •Disseminate and report research findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences
  • •Align activities with industrial and academic partners in the pilot line
  • •Supervise students
  • •Engage in relevant networks
  • •Manage projects
  • •Acquire new projects
