Requirements
- Engineering degree (BSc/ MSc)
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- MBA or dual business degree (plus)
- 5+ years of system design experience in product-line and/or component-supplier industry
- Solid system design experience with Force-Guided and General-Purpose Relays
- Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC 61810-1, IEC 61810-3 or EN 50205, IEC 60947-5-1, UL61810, IEC 60664-1, IEC 60335-1) and TÜV requirements for Force-guided Relays
- Expertise in Functional Safety and Safety Integrity concepts (ISO 13849-1, IEC 62061)
- Understanding of machine safety and functional safety of machinery requirements
- Strong industry network (customers and suppliers)
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Fluent German and English language skills
- French, Chinese, or local language skills (advantage)
- Clear communication of complex technical concepts
- Strong relationship building skills (internal and external)
Tasks
- Own system architecture for Force Guided and General-Purpose Relays
- Engage with and visit global customers
- Understand system behavior, modularization, and technology needs
- Combine technology and application expertise
- Generate system architecture requirements
- Align technology and product roadmaps with next-generation customer products
- Align roadmaps with short-term technology and market trends
- Align roadmaps with long-term technology and market trends (3-5 years)
- Analyze and weigh primary drivers of product and technology gaps
- Predict optimal technical solutions
- Participate in and drive standardization activities
- Influence industry trends to align with TE’s strategy
- Develop application whitepapers for internal teams
- Develop application whitepapers for customer understanding
- Provide technical input to the Technology Radar
- Provide technical input to product outlooks and roadmaps
- Provide technical input to PRDs
- Lead competitive benchmarking
- Evaluate new product concepts
