Senior / Principal Vehicle Dynamics Control Algorithm Engineer(m/w/x)
Developing and optimizing vehicle stability and torque vector control algorithms for ESP products. Profound experience in vehicle stability or torque vector system development required. Language courses in German and Mandarin offered.
Requirements
- Master's degree in vehicle engineering, automatic control, or related field
- Profound experience in vehicle stability, torque vector, or brake system development
- Experience in system/upper application software development of ESP products VDC module
- Proficiency in classical and modern control theory, model predictive control, or robust control
- Proficiency in C language programming design and debugging, familiarity with embedded software development
- Skilled in using Matlab/Simulink, CarSim for modeling and simulation
- Familiarity with vehicle chassis control, body dynamics, and tire characteristics
- Experience with functional safety components development or Torque Vectoring development is a plus
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Tasks
- Conduct algorithm requirement analysis
- Design architecture and detailed specifications based on system requirements
- Develop and apply vehicle stability control and torque vector control technologies
- Model and optimize vehicle stability control and torque vector systems
- Develop and verify algorithm models using model-based design methods
- Perform Matlab/Simulink modeling and simulations
- Conduct road tests for algorithm validation
- Build hardware-in-the-loop test platforms using dSPACE/AutoBox
- Support function safety development for control algorithms
- Review designs and verify functions of control algorithms
- Evaluate performance and rectify related issues
- Assist in vehicle performance tests and evaluations
- Support system performance bench tests and vehicle assessments
- Collaborate with embedded software engineers for code transplantation
- Debug vehicle control algorithms to resolve field issues
- Create reports and documentation for control algorithm development
- Assist in failure mode analysis for system development confirmation
- Support parameter calibration in vehicle environments to meet customer needs
- Formulate and optimize modeling specifications and processes
- Participate in technical reviews and capacity building
