Requirements

  • Technical university degree in computer science or IT, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years software engineering experience, ideally in safety-critical domains
  • Expertise with RTOSs (e.g. VxWorks, QNX, etc.)
  • Familiarity with computer networks, ideally Ethernet-based, and multi-core platforms
  • Solid knowledge of software processes in aerospace (DO-178C, DO-330) or space (ECSS-E-ST-40C, NPR 7150.2C) advantageous
  • Committed team player, knowledge sharing, process and workflow improvements
  • Lateral leadership and solution-oriented working
  • Very good English command, German skills beneficial

Tasks

  • Lead software sub-projects, ensuring compliance with standards and safety norms
  • Define and plan software work packages, coordinating with stakeholders
  • Specify and review software requirements
  • Design software and system architectures
  • Improve technical solutions and work procedures
  • Support software certification and qualification, representing the engineering team
  • Define, plan, and steer software verification
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams in multi-disciplinary projects
  • Create user documentation and support customer service and sales teams
