- Strong drive to understand
- Programming according to IEC 61131-3 Structured Text
- CODESYS 2.3/CODESYS 3.5 or similar experience
- Expert in Object-oriented programming
- Expert in Unit testing
- Experience with CANopen
- Experience with EtherCAT
- Familiarity with SVN/GIT version control systems
- Familiarity with GitHub
- Experience in System Engineering
- Experience in Reliability Engineering
- Strong documentation skills (GDP)
- Practical experience developing models
- Practical experience developing graphical representations/abstractions of systems and processes
- Stakeholder management skills desirable
- Networking skills desirable
- Experience in common Quality methods
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Team player
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in English required
- German language skills desirable
Tasks
- Architect and refine automation solutions
- Develop control algorithms
- Select appropriate components
- Ensure seamless system integration and testing
- Test PLC and machine control functionality
- Collaborate with multiple cross-disciplinary teams
- Spearhead innovation in control system design
- Prototype new ideas
- Explore emerging technologies
- Drive continuous process and product improvement
- Develop and validate commissioning systems
- Research, design, integrate, and evaluate robotic platforms
- Generate test plans for PLC and State Machine controls code
- Perform testing to validate PLC and State Machine controls code
- Contribute to machine control and system architecture concepts
- Evaluate and select components
- Implement control system designs
- Debug and verify control system implementations
- Document control system designs
- Stay updated on emerging control system technology
- Recommend and manage process/design improvements
- Improve development velocity, efficiency, and quality
- Design and implement control systems for prototypes
- Build and maintain relationships with project managers
- Build and maintain relationships with engineers
- Build and maintain relationships with operations and maintenance teams
- Build and maintain relationships with external engineers/vendors
- Follow regulatory requirements and company design procedures
- Contribute to and implement requirement definitions
- Create and maintain technical documentation (GDP)
