Senior Category Manager(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive procurement/category management experience in manufacturing or aviation/aerospace
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing category strategies
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Proven contract management experience
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes
- In-depth understanding of supplier quality processes
- In-depth understanding of logistics processes
- PMP, CPSM, or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Proficiency with procurement/category management tools
- Fluent in English
- German or French language skills are an asset
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Managing multiple high-value projects concurrently
- Direct exposure to MRO, RMU, or Completions projects in aviation or aerospace
- Familiarity with Lean Management
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements (EASA/FAA)
- Additional certifications (CIPS, Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence) advantageous
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Customer-centric approach
- Business mindset
- Focus on increasing value for end customer

- Willingness to take leadership on initiatives
- Familiarity with negotiation tools (game theory, should-cost modelling) is a plus
Tasks
- Define and execute category strategies
- Build category structure and governance
- Serve as key procurement and category lead
- Oversee supplier selection and negotiation
- Prepare business cases with cost analysis
- Drive category performance for cost, quality, and delivery
- Conduct market and supplier analysis
- Influence engineering and production specifications
- Implement supplier performance improvement plans
- Monitor and report category KPIs
- Develop contingency sourcing plans
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Enhance category management processes
- Contribute to knowledge sharing
- Ensure regulatory and policy compliance
- Lead strategic procurement initiatives
- Support supplier consolidation and localization
- Adopt digital procurement tools
