Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer - Avionics Battery Module(m/w/x)
Developing and integrating Li-Ion Batteries for New Space launch solutions, supporting vehicle integration. 5+ years with complex PCBs, electronic units, and Li-Ion batteries, plus E-CAD experience, required. Employee Participation Program, 30 days vacation, 20% employer pension contribution.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Energy Science and Technology or comparable
- 5+ years of working experience with complex PCBs and Electronic Units and Li ion batteries
- Excellent knowledge of circuit theory, electronics, signal processing and power electronics
- Extensive experience in E-CAD tools (Schematic & Layout Design), preferably Altium Designer
- Extensive knowledge of semiconductors and solid-state power controllers
- Excellent knowledge of Li-Ion battery system technology and state-of-the-art cell chemistries
- Excellent experience in Li-Ion battery pack design and relevant battery testing
- Hands on mentality and can-do attitude
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Previous product ownership
- Experience with launch vehicle flight termination systems and flight safety is a plus
- Experience with SMC or RCC standard is a plus
Tasks
- Develop and integrate Avionics Li-Ion Batteries
- Test and verify battery performance
- Manage all product interfaces throughout the lifecycle
- Conduct design, qualification, and acceptance testing
- Support vehicle integration and testing in Germany and on the launch pad
- Maintain and verify Power System requirements
- Build and maintain automated testing infrastructure for Power System and FTS components
- Oversee the battery test rig
