Research Laboratory Scientist for Oncolytic Virus-based Cancer Immunology(m/w/x)
Designing cellular and genomic assays, manipulating primary immune cells and viral vectors. 2-3 years experience in immune cell handling, multicolor flow cytometry, and molecular virology essential. Flexible working times.
Requirements
- Master’s or diploma degree in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline
- 2-3 years solid experience in immune cell handling, cultivation, multicolor flow cytometry, cell sorting, and immunological assays
- Working knowledge of molecular virology, reverse genetic systems for viral engineering (design, generation, characterization of recombinant viruses)
- Highly desirable hands-on experience in fluorescence microscopy techniques (widefield, confocal), sample preparation, image acquisition, and analysis
- Strong plus experience in single cell sequencing
- High versatility and adaptability to diverse tasks and challenges
- Ability to independently plan, execute, evaluate, and document experiments
- Exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, productivity, strong attention to detail for precise, high-quality results
- Strong teamwork, excellent communication skills, personal engagement, accountability
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
Tasks
- Design cellular and genomic assays.
- Perform assays using dendritic, T, or tumor cells.
- Isolate, maintain, and manipulate primary immune cells.
- Characterize co-cultures with tumor cells and oncolytic viruses.
- Contribute to advancing oncolytic virus-based cancer immunotherapies.
- Collaborate on experiment design, execution, and analysis.
- Apply cutting-edge genomic assays such as scRNA-Seq.
- Develop and maintain working protocols.
- Ensure high-quality data, presentations, and reports.
- Execute experiments independently.
- Evaluate data independently.
