- Technical knowledge of data centres or related facilities
- Good knowledge of construction and procurement methods
- Experience with or managing estimating tools/applications
- Strong spreadsheet and database experience
- Collaborative approach and strong client relationships
- Good organization and multitasking skills
- Good command of written/spoken German and English
Tasks
- Act as primary cost management liaison with client and stakeholders
- Prepare cost estimates and manage procurement and tendering
- Conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports
- Produce and present final cost plans
- Manage pre-qualification, tender lists, preliminaries, and tender analysis
- Compile contractual documents
- Conduct timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
- Generate monthly post-contract cost reports for client
- Interface with client and consultants at all project stages
- Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control
- Perform cost risk analysis and contribute to value engineering
- Negotiate and approve final accounts
- Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating
- Update best practices in estimating
