Requirements

  • Open-mindedness, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Technical college or university degree or working experience
  • Knowledge of environmental, governmental, technical, and economic relations
  • Deep understanding and experience in waste management
  • Specialization or interest in plastic recycling and materials
  • High personal motivation and eagerness to push recycling activities
  • Flexibility and travel applicability
  • English required
  • Additional languages beneficial

Tasks

  • Develop and expand global sourcing strategies for PET and HDPE bales and flakes
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new partners in plastic waste collection, sorting, and recycling
  • Screen international markets for recyclers, collectors, licensors, and technology partners
  • Drive and coordinate closed-loop initiatives across the ALPLA recycling network
  • Support the development of new rPET and rHDPE raw material sources
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners on recycling concepts
  • Represent ALPLA Recycling at industry events, meetings, and conferences
  • Support supplier qualification and audits within the recycling value chain
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base on waste management, recycling technologies, and sustainability trends

Work Experience

  • approx. 4 - 6 years

Education

  • Vocational certificationOR
  • Bachelor's degree

  • English – Native
